Trade with Japan
Sir, — Leone Stewart’s three articles on New Zea-land-Japan trade problems were superb, and will assist in educating the public in this country as to the real nature of those problems. The articles make clear what most reasonable New Zealanders have felt since the beginning of the “fish for trade” fiasco, namely that our incompetent Prime Minister’s blundering, blustering methods will have only a counter-productive effect in the field of international trade relations. It is therefore becoming equally clear that both a change of policy and a change of Prime Minister are now needed. — Yours, etc., D. J. O’ROURKE. April 14, 1978.
