PA Auckland A sixth placing in the seventh and final race of the national Laser class yachting championship off Takapunk Beach yesterday was sufficient for Paul Meo, of Wellington, to narrowly win the title. Douglas finished fifth in the last race of the contest and only just failed to steal the title from Meo’s grasp. Lester won three of the races in the seven-race series, but a disaualificatinp and a withdrawal in two of the races reduced him to only tenth over all.
