Lydiard in forces run
The international New Zealand athletics coach, Mr Arthur Lydiard will begin a two-day visit to Christchurch today. This afternoon he will take part in the annual Spitfire to Havard run with about 300 air force, army, police, and airline personnel. The run is of about 11km. This evening he will talk to local athletes, joggers, and coaches at a meeting at Christchurch Boys’ High School organised by the Canterbury Athletic Coaches’ ■ Association. Tomorrow. •Mr Lydiard will visit Kaiapoi ' High School, Hillmorton High School and St Bede’s College. He will also join joggers on a run through Hagiley Park.
