Special correspondent Invercargill. Anne’s Day (Imin 59sec). one of New Zealand’s top race mares, has been sold to race in the United States. She has been purchased by the Central Standard bred Agencv on behalf of a client of the Chicago stable of Danny Skelter, which lias had marked success with two other 2min horses from New Zealand, Y'ankee Lad and Why Bill. Anne's Day is a half sister to Dayvander (Imin 59.8 sec) which lias won more than 5200.000, Day Command (Imin 58.8sec>. Day-, anna i2min 6.Bsec), Daktari (2min B.6sec> Darwin and others, being by the Tar Heel horse Tudor Hanover from Our Day. by Smokey Hanover from the U Scott, mare. Ada Scott 2min 6sec, which won 10 races for $11,660. when stakes were much below the'r present dav level. This is the family of Ada Brigade <a successful brood mare in Australian a top juvenile pacer in Gliding Light inow at the stud, in Australian Defiance (winner of the West Australian Cupi and others Mr Brian Meale, of the Central Standardbred Agency said in Invercargill yesterday that Anne’s Dav would be flown to North America at the. end of the month along with Balgove and other recent agency purchases.
