Aust. Moths dominant
NZPA Brisbane Australian skippers dominated the major placings in the first heat of the world Moths class championship sailed on Brisbane’s Waterloo Bay yesterday. The powerful West Australian skipper, Cliff Burton, sailed his Moth Red Ned to a convincing win in winds of 15-18 knots which provided an exacting test of sailing skill. Burton, respecting the difficult conditions, sailed a safe race to defeat Rob O'Sullivan (Australia) with former world champion, Peter Moor (Snubby, New South Wales), third.
