‘Super test’ to Australians
NZPA Adelaide The Australian XI came back from the wilderness to wrap up the third World Series Cricket "super test” against the West Indians yesterday, winning by 220 runs with one day to spare a, Football Park, in Adelaide yesterday. Hie captain, lan Chappell, elected to bat on at the resumption yesterday morning and in 22 minutes 13 runs were added for an over-all lead of 510 runs, after declaring at 267 for eight wiekets.
Then the Australians wrapped up the game by restricting the West Indians to 290. Scores.—W.S.C. Australians 388 and 267/8 declared beat W.S.C. West Indies 145 and 290 (V. Richards 123, R. Fredericks 48, C King 42; R. Bright 4/74, D. Lillee 3/61;.
