‘Guerrilla raid’
i NZPA-Reuter Johannesburg Seven blacks attending a wedding in northern Namibia have been abducted by armed guerrillas and marched across the border into Angola, the South African Broadcasting Com* pany has reported. The guerrillas surrounded the wedding party, called individuals by name and forced them across the border, the report said. In another development, j the South African Military iCommand reported that 14 guerrillas and two South
African soldiers had been killed in fighting along the Angolan border. A spokesman said five nationalist guerrillas of the South-west African People’s Organisation had been killed in a clash with a South African patrol on Saturday, and nine guerrillas and two South Africans had died in a skirmish on Friday. S.W.A.P.O. claimed its guerrillas had blown up a truck carrying South African military officers, and had carried out raids on South African positions at the week-end.
