Bid to snatch Presley body?
NZPA-Reuter Memphis, Tennessee. Two persons have been arrested in connection with an alleged plot to steal the body of the late rock king, Elvis Presley, from a marble mausoleum where he was entombed after his death earlier this month, according to the Memphis police. First reports indicated that the two were armed with explosives, but there was no immediate confirmation from the police, A third suspect was being sought, reports said. Police Captain P. J. Acerra said the arrests that were made in the early hours of the morning at the rear of die mausoleum in Forest Hill Cemetery’ came after “there was a report” of a plot to steal Presley’s body.
