Greta Valley township
Sir, — I note with interest the Hurunui County Council has spread a security rate for $35,000 over the whole county for the sewerage reticulation system for the Greta Valley township. Mr C. N. McKenzie maintains it is a county effort to build this township. However, there are only two ridings which will benefit out of 12 involved. I wish to
know if this is to be the pattern for all major county development? In the past only the area immediately involved was affected by the security rate. I understand that the council will be considering the success of the sale of the Greta Valley sections at its July 11 meeting and wonder if the loan will be proceeded with if only a percentage of the sections have been sold. — Yours, €tC W. G. MASON. Hawarden. July 4, 1977. )
