Another fire at dump
Christchurch firemen spent two hours yesterday fighting the second big fire in two weeks at the Paparua County Council dump in Carrs Road. Last week’s fire threat’ ened to spread out of the dump, but no other property was endangered yesterday.
However, the dump had to be closed to the public while firemen and council workmen used a bulldozer to bury the burning rubbish.
