Irish immigrants
Sir,—Now that the Government is in a humanitarian mood, perhaps New Zealand residents who have parents at present denied permission to settle in this country may look forward to a change in current legislation concerning the entry’ of members of their close families. Should no change be forthcoming it appears our aged relatives should be encouraged to take up street fighting, knee capping, etc., in order to be allowed to join their families here.—Yours, etc., Y. C. WILKINSON. February 22, 1977.
