Tuna fishing starts
Staff reporter Greymouth The tuna-fishing season off the West Coast has started. About half a dozen boats are at sea, and more will follow. A spokesman for Nelson Fisheries. Ltd, at Greymouth. said that a few hundred pounds of albacore had been landed this week. Reports on Monday indicated that some boats were getting between 80 and 100 fish a day — close to a tonne.
