Hornby league head retiring
The long-serving president of the Hornby Rugby League Club, Mr John Lloyd, will step down from administrative office when the club holds its annual general meeting this evening. Mr Lloyd has been Hornby’s president for 15 years, and for the previous 13 years he served as its secretary. His actual association with the club extends back to 1927, the year that it won its second championship title.
Not surp ris ' n gly< Mr Lloyd will remain one of Hornby’s most faithful followers. His outstanding contribution to the code has stretched beyond his club, and has been recognised by his election as a life member and vice-president of the Canterbury Rugby League.
