A holiday service

Radio New Zealand Community Stations will issue holiday information bulletins three times a day during the Labour Week-end period, beginning on Friday October 22. This regular holiday service for motorists and travellers covers road conditions including road works, hazards and unusual weather conditions; major events likely to cause traffic congestion; weather forecasts and suggested day trips for visitors in each centre.

Reports will be broadcast at 6.35 a.m., 8.45 a.m. and at approximately 6.20 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Monday and at these times (except for the 6.20 p.m. broadcast) on the Tuesday with 7.45 a.m., 8.45 a.m. and 6.20 p.m. bulletins on the Sunday. The morning bulletins will give national information while the evening broadcasts from Community Stations will lay emphasis on the local scene.

The presenter of the morning network bulletins will be the Napier motoring session personality “Robbie.”
