Joe Bugner beats Dunn
NZPA-Reuter
Britain’s Joe Bugner, who gave up boxing in January saying he was disenchanted with the sport, came back to regain the European, British and Commonweath heavy-weight titles by knocking out his compatriot Richard Dunn, in two minutes 40 seconds.
Bugner, 26, twice a points loser to Muhammad Ali, seemed to have fully recovered his appetite for fighting as he stripped Dunn of his three titles in devastating style. He had Dunn down twice in the first minute and then a flurry of blows, culminating with a short right that stretched the champion out for the full count.
