Ice hockey hit by tour
PA Auckland The Australian Ice Hockey association has stopped a Victorian club team touring NewZealand—apparently because of the AU Black tour of South Africa.
Mrs M. Hita. secretary of an Auckland ice hockey dub, said the Tigers club, of Melbourne was to have made a 21-day tour of New Zealand from the end of October, playing in Auckland and Invercargill. When she telephoned club officials to confirm details, however. she was told that the Australian association had refused permission for the tour. The reason given by the association. said Mrs Hita, was the presence of the New Zealand rugby team In South Africa.
