Soccer game hung up
NZPA Palermo The football match between Palermo and Fiorentina played in Sicily added a new term to the annals of sport : “Hang-glider halted play,” Agence France Presse reported. A hang-gliding pilot, Giuseppe Musso, came in for a forced landing right in the thick of the play around Fiorentina’s goal-mouth just as the Palermos centreforward was preparing to shoot for goal. By landing in the stadium before 30,000 startled spectators, Musso now faces a hefty fine for interrupting a public spectacle and for flying without permission.
