WELLINGTON
The Wainuiomata schoolboy chess champion, Murray Chandler, has challenged either the international master. Ortvin Sarapu, or the Russian master, Lev Aptekar, to a best-of-eight-games match.
The Wellington Chess League is trying to clinch the match with one of the two masters. Prize money of more than $lOO has been guaranteed. The three players share the [New Zealand title. In the [ national championships ■played this week, the 15-year-!old Wainuiomata boy beat Sarapu and drew with Aptekar.
