He is closely followed by Kevin Hawkins (Auckland) in Hau Wakena. with two seconds and a fifth. Half Breed, sailed by L. Gallagher (Auckland), and Hocus Pocus, by S. Pedersen (Napier) are also near 1 the front with a fifth, third [and first and two fourths and a second respectively. Beach race title.— Russ Greer ''Marlborough! upset the defending champion, Peter Leversedge (Christchurch) to win the New Zealand beach race motor championship at Nelson yesterday.— (Nelson.)
