Labour’s newspaper to close
; (N.Z. Press Association) j WELLINGTON. Dec. 8. ’ This month’s issue of the (Labour Party’s official newspaper, “The Nation,” would Ibe the last, the party’s secretary (Mr J. F. Wybrow) said (in Wellington today. The paper was being closed because of a lack of advertising, and the decision had nothing to do with the result of the General Election, Mr Wybrow said. “It had to close, anyway, but we decided to keep it going until after the election,” he said. The paper, which was first published in August, 1973, will be replaced by a magazine, which will be sent to all party members.
