Blind bowls to Southland
(N.Z Press Association i TIMARU. The twenty-second national championships of the New Zealand Blind Indoor Bowls Federation was concluded at Timaru yesterday. In the final competition, the Southland team of Messrs C. Gray (skip), E. Dawson, R. Mussen, and Mrs T. Parker beat the South Canterbury team of Messrs P. Stock (skip), G. Thomson, P. Weils, and Mrs D. Waldon, in the championship rose bowl fours.
The president of the federation (Mr O. Lichtwark, Auckland) presented C. Gray and R. Mussen, of Southland, with gold star awards for winning five national titles.
R. Mathieson and S. Lambert. of Auckland, were made life members of the federation.
