Tender up by $32,000
The lowest tender for a new bridge over the Heathcote River at Worsleys Road was $82,320 instead 7 of the estimate of $50,000. the Paparua Countv Counci’s rural district committee was told on Monday. The County Engineer (Mr 1 J. D. Annan) said that half the cost was to be met bv the citv council. The Paparua and Heathcote countv councils would each pay one quarter. This meant, he said, that Paparua's ouarter-share had risen from $12,000 to $21,000 —which the council did not
