The Australian, Barr/ Kable, won the single rise title when the national trapshooting championships continued yesterday. Robin Collins (Matamata) was second and Frank Fyres (Hamilton) third.

There were then four competitors engaged in a shoot-off out of 38 who had scored the possible of 50 targets. Elgin Gates (United States) a favoured contender, had to leave with an American tour party and withdrew from the event.
