Kable wins shoot-off

The Australian, Barr/ Kable, won the single rise title when the national trapshooting championships continued yesterday. Robin Collins (Matamata) was second and Frank Fyres (Hamilton) third.
The event was completed yesterday morning after failing light halted the competition on the previous evening. There were then four competitors engaged in a shoot-off out of 38 who had scored the possible of 50 targets. Elgin Gates (United States) a favoured contender, had to leave with an American tour party and withdrew from the event.
