Vietnamese orphans
Sir, — Have not the ! United States, Australian, land New Zealand GovernIments through their military involvement in Vietnam I caused enough suffering and ' devastation without the ! tragic plane crash in which 'many Vietnamese children were killed. The Galaxy plane used had been plagued by wing cracks from preI vious missions in Vietnam, and before being used on this occasion had been decayed in the Philippines by i what the Pentagon called “minor mechnical problems.” 1 wonder how minor these problems were. It is a wellknown fact that when transporting refugees from one place to another in wartime very poor transport facilities are used. — Yours etc., J. YOUNG. April 10, 1975.
