The Australian, Margaret Court, would probably have won a place in the 5NZ75.000 women’s tennis world series this year if she had played in tournaments last year, a spokesman for the sponsors said in New York yesterday. The Russian, Olga Morozova, has been named as the fourth player in the series, which will be played in Austin, Texas, on April 19 and 20. She joins Chris Evert. Billie Jean King, and Evonne Goolagong. The spokesman said the selections were based on 1974 performances.
Swimming.—The world’s top distance swimmer, Stephen Holland, and Jenny Turrell and Sonya Gray, will spearhead the Australian swimming team at the Coca Cola Internationa! meeting in London next month. The squad of five will be completed by Judy Hudson and Graham Windeatt.
Cricket.—The West Indian cricketers have drawn their three day match against the Patron's XI in Rawalpindi. Final scores: Patron's XI 277/6 declared and 359/4 declared: West Indies 338/6 declared and 156/6. i
