Sir, — As “Mrs C” appreciates that New Zealand does not want Communism, it is a pity that she is opposed to the very organisation that can halt the Communists’ quest for control of this country by their more insidious means, including espionage and infiltration of our universities and trade unions As for the comment of “Buck,” I would remind him that America was a proud and mighty country before it went soft on liberals and other Communist-influenced left wingers. Thank goodness we still have people like Robert Berman around, who are prepared to speak out in support of the guardians of our freedom and democracy. — Yours, etc., FREE KIWI. February 24, 1975.
