Hillmorton traffic
Sir, —Would it be possible for a pedestrian crossing to be placed at the Hillmorton shopping area just past the Lyttelton Street - Wrights Road intersection on Lincoln Road? The consistent flow of traffic which does rot seem to reduce speed no matter what the time of day, proves a difficulty for one wishing to cross from one shop to another. Several minutes pass before an opportunity to step across occurs, so shoppers feel a crossing is warranted.—Yours, etc., SAFETY FIRST. February 24, 1975.
