M.C.C. one-day games in N.Z.
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The M.C.C. will play two one-day cricket internationals—against a President’s XI in Dunedin on March 8, and against New Zealand in Wellington on March 9. Both matches will be sponsored by Rothmans. The winning team in each game will receive $4OO and the man of the match $lOO. In addition the teams will receive $1 a run for their scores in the two games. REP, MATCH The Canterbury fourth grade cricket team lost only three wickets in passing the Suburban third grade representative team’s total of 78 at Burwood Park yesterday. Scores: Canterbury fourth grade 86/7 (J. Manihera 41) beat Suburban third grade 78 (M. Burrell 26, R. McCarthy 22; B. Blair 4/9, R. Jacques 3/12).
