Commercial lot passed in
Two commercial properties in Hereford Street, offered as one lot. were passed in at auction yesterday at $350,000. The Government valuation is $158,000.
The buildings, one known as the Kinsey Building and the other the Queensland Insurance Company, _ Ltd, building situated at 152-156 Hereford Street, occupy 37 perches of land, and have an 80ft frontage. They are one, door from the car-parking, ' and shopping-mall complex[ now under construction. j The auctioneer, Mr C. M.j Robertson, of Sherris and] Wilson, Ltd, said that the’ auction was well attended. Two 20-acre blocks of] farm land on the Old Tai Tapu Road were passed in | w’hen offered at auction | yesterday. Cot one reachedi $40,000 in the bidding, and; lot two reached $36,000J There is no Government I valuation. The auctioneer! was Mr F. McD. Templeton,! of Pyne. Gould, Guinness, Ltd.
A two-bedroom brick! house at 50 Fendalton Road was passed in at $27,500.i The Government valuation is; $15,000. The auctioneer was Mr N. H. McCrostie, of N. H McCrostie and Company.
