[ The two Labrador dogs which have been trained by I the New Zealand Customs to detect narcotics had proved ■to be an unqualified success, said the Minister of Customs (Mr Connelly) today. They had detected drugs on 38 occasions. Mr Connelly was address-! ing a meeting of Customs i administrative officers from the Cook Islands, Niue, Tonga, Fiji, and New Zealand. “The dogs have been trained to detect cannabis, hashish, opium, morphine, and heroin,” he said.
