NO GRANT
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 1. The Government did not intend to make a general grant toward the administrative costs of the National Council of Women, the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr May) said in Parliament today. He told Mr D. Thomson (Nat., Stratford) that a number of other groups faced similar problems and he had no general funds available for such grants. A grant was made each year from lottery profits to enable N.C.W. to send delegates to overseas conferences, he said. Keeping parsley.— Parsley may be kept fresh for a considerable time by putting it in a closed jar in the refrigerator.
