CANDIDATES SPEAK
A “meet-the-candidates” meeting at Rangiora last week was attended by about 150 women. The meeting was for Rangiora women to meet the five women candidates for the Rangiora Borough Council. The candidates were introduced by the Mayoress (Mrs E. M. McKenzie). Each was allowed five minutes to speak. Questions were asked, and many comments were passed that members of the audience had learned a lot, and the meeting had brought to light many things that they wanted to know.
