Dredge move
A special tribunal has been set up by the Westland Catchment Board to hear submissions on the proposed move of the Kanieri gold dredge. The Chief Engineer of the North Canterbury Catchment Board (Mr J. A. Macdonald) told a meeting of his board’s water committee that he had been appointed to the tribunal, and that the application concerned a right for the dredge to take from and [ discharge back to the Grey ißiver 38.5 m gallons of water a day.
