Inter-school sport contest
Shirley Boys’ High School defeated Kings High School (Dunedin), 22-9, at Rugby on Burwood Park yesterday. For Shirley, tries were scored by K. Davidson (2), M. Brown, and M. Bennett. M. Vincent converted three. M. Lowe and S. Davie each kicked a goal from a penalty for Kings; P. Henry kicked a dropped goal. In other activities in the tournament between the two schools. Kings won the hockey, 4-3; the basketball, 88-53; the golf, 4-0; the badminton. 5-4; and the debating. The soccer match was drawn 1-all. Shirley won the squash, 6-0, and the harriers, 15-23.
