Two good wins in Rugby
(A’ Z. Press Association INVERCARGILL Southland beat King Country, 27-9, at Invercargill and : North Auckland beat Hawke's Bay, 25-12, at Whangarei, in representative Rugby matches ! yesterday. Southland won by dominatiing the forward play, winining the rucks and scrums [decisively. Hawke’s Bay was [outclassed by the hard[running North Auckland backline. ; Scorers for Southland: D. Hay, K. Mcßae, G. Valli (tries), J.' Polson (dropped goal), Valli (three conversions, two penalty goals). For King Country’: W. McKay (try) and T. Gordon (penalty goal). Scorers for North Auckland: B. Going (2), M. Hepple, R. Foy (tries), K. Going (penalty goal, three conversions). For Hawke’s Bay: T. Nesbitt (try), J. Francis (conversion, penalty goal), G. Martin (dropped goal).
