Air mail delays
Because of a postal strike throughout Canada air mails to that country have been temporarily suspended at the request of the Canadian Post Office, a spokesman for the Post Office said. Air mail for Canada is being held in New Zealand meantime, for forwarding to its destination as soon as services are resumed. The strike will also result in air mails from Canada to New Zealand being held up. Industrial disputes at the Sydney mail exchange also have caused delays to air mails from Sydney.—(P.A.).
