Ethiopian appeal (ti.Z. Press Association) AUCKKLAND. The Corso appeal for Ethiopia attracted a more sudden and overwhelming reaction from New Zealanders than any other undertaken by Corso, says the acting director (Mr C. Hamblyn). In “Corso News,” he says the appeal showed the tremendous generosity that New Zealanders were capable of. “Corso News” says that between October 30 and December 20 last year New Zealanders contributed more Than §350,000 to the drought relief appeal. By December 20, Corso had sent $338,000 and $200,000 of this went in I the first month of the appeal. Protein worth $60,000 was sent, and money was used to buy food, protein, medical supplies, and grain. It was also allocated for well-digg-ing, re-afforestation, transport, and of families.
