New scenic reserve
Land bought recently by the Government at Gore Bay has been approved by the Acting Minister of Lands (Mr Faulkner) as a scenic reserve.
The 63-hectare site will be known as the Gore Bay Scenic Reserve. The reserve contains “The Cathedrals,” an excellent example of erosion with its stalagmite formations and attractive native bush.
The Department of Lands and Survey has already begun to develop the area;
