Danger of eczema

(N.Z. Press Association) NELSON, February 8. Conditions in the Nelson district are ideal for an outbreak of facial eczema, says the Ministry of Agriculture. It is the third danger period this season. High grass temperatures and rain in the last five days have created ideal conditions for the growth of facial eczema spores. The district veterinarian (Mr J. Muir) said grass samples had been checked, but they had shown no signs of rising spore counts. However, the risk this autumn would be greater than usual, he said.
