Man admits bombing
f.V.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 6. A university student, aged 22, today admitted igniting gelignite at the rear of the! Parnell Totalisator Agency Board on January 30, 1970. He was charged with wilfully damaging the T.A.B. and four nearby buildings. Sergeant D. S. J. Butcher said the man gave himself up to police recently because he wanted to clear his conscience. He was a member of a revolutionary activist group which had the gelignite to blow up military installations. When it began to sweat, they decided to blow tip the explosives. Mr M. L. Morgan, S.M. convicted the man, remanded him in custody until February 15 for a probation report and sentence, and I granted interim suppression] of his name.
