Elvstrom (Denmark) [placed his eleventh world !yachting championship firmly in his sights when he comfortably won the fifth heat of the world sailing championships in Sydney yesterday. With two heats to go, Elvstrom, in his yacht Bes, only needs reasonable placings to ■ clinch the championship. He has won four of the five heats so far. Elvstrom put on an earlyburst of speed to cover D. Forbes (Australia), in Pocohontas. Forbes was second and holds second place in the championship. In third place over-all is A. von Gruenwaldt (Sweden) in Oh Calcutta. Two Americans, .1. Kolius, in Good News, and J Coggan, in Wringer, take up fourth and fifth places.
