Major project by Mainline
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Feb. 1. Mainline Corporation, Ltd, had prepared preliminary plans for its 3.3-acre site ini the west end of Collins St, I ! Melbourne. Up to s9om. is expected to be spent on four buildings with 1.3 million square feet of office space and a one-acre park. The biggest project under construction in the city is Colliris Place. It will have a total office floor area of about one million square feet. Collins Place wilL4include an international hotel, shopping centre, cinemas and professional rooms. Mainline is builder and developer of Collins Place and the new project is tentatively named Collins West. The tallest of its four buildings will be 44 storeys and will front Collins St. The three other buildings will each comprise about 22 storeys, with two of the! towers fronting Flinders! Lane and one King St.
