DEMAND FOR FOOD
Warm temperatures forced up the consumption of ice creams, alcohol and other refreshments at the closing of the Commonwealth Games on Saturday. Mr J. Visser, who is in charge of catering at ’he park, said there had been a big demand for food and drink throughout the day. The quantities sold on Saturday were higher than on any other day of the Games, ihe said. , I.
