Choice of anthems
Britain’s seven Commonwealth Games teams each have a different victory anthem, and only Guernsey has “God Save the Queen.”
For victory ceremonies England gets “Land of Hope and Glory,” the Isle of Man “O. Land of Our Birth.” and Jersey “Quand Tout Renait a I’Esperance.”
Northern Ireland has “The Londonderry Air” better known as “Danny Boy.” Scotland has “Scotland the Brave,” and Wales “Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau” (Land of Our Fathers), A.
