Mr Berrie, the botanist, and Mr Trout, the fish biologist, can relax: they are in good company. A British woman researcher has uncovered hundreds of others whose names are peculiarly apt to their vocation. Her newly-published survey discloses such gems as Miss Mercedes Concepcion, who addressed a population conference, and Mr Z Ovary, a gynaecologist. Mr J. w. G. Musty works for the Inspectorate of Ancient Monuments, while the Institute of Oceanographic Sciences has a Mr P. J- Herring. Robin Fox and Lionel Tiger have collaborated on human behaviour studies, and while there are plenty of Brains in brain research, there is only one Dr J.
