Pillar kills youth

WELLINGTON, Jan. 15. A building worker was killed when a concrete pillar fell on him at a block of flats under construction near ] Mount Victoria today. He was Murray Shinn, aged 16, of Courtenay Road, Kirwee, who was working during a holiday before attending university.
U.E. results.—Candidates for the University Entrance examination would receive their results next week, the secretary of the University Grants Committee (Mr J. R. Caldwell), said vesterday —(P.A.).
