Japanese fear
Japan is examining the chances of an early international conference aimed at stabilising oil prices. Her Minister of International Trade and Industry (Mr Yasuhiro Nakasone) will raise the subject in talks in Teheran, London and Bagdad next week. Japanese fear that Libya’s sharp mark-up will have a chain reaction in the Gulf countries.—Tokyo, Jan. 3.
