Portfolios today
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Dec. 7. Labour’s Cabinet met for more than hour this afternoon but the meeting ended with Ministers still not know, ing what their portfolios will be.
The Prime Minister-elect (Mr Kirk) said they would be advised tomorrow, before they leave for the swearingin ceremony at Government House. The Ministers would assemble in Mr Kirk’s office for the announcement.
Mr Kirk declined to say what was otherwise discussed in Cabinet. “We mostly chewed the fat,” he said ”We couldn’t make any decisions there.”
