Hash
Hash serves two purposes — that of using up leftovers in the fridge and providing a quickly prepared meal. You need: Thick white sauce Mashed boiled potatoes Grated onion Grated cheese i Tinned or cooked fish; Chopped parsley Method: Combine flaked fish with half of the white sauce and flavour with grated onion and a pinch of nutmeg. Combine any remaining sauce with the potatoes to which a little grated onion should also be added. To this also add grated cheese and chopped parsley. Fill a greased ovenproof dish with alternate layers of fish mixture and potato mixture and top with grated cheese. Place in 350 oven until heated through and browned.
