‘Earnings up 13.36%
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 3. Gross average weekly earnings in New Zealand have risen 13.36 per cent in the last two years, according to figures given by the Employers’ Federation today. The federation printed the figures in its magazine, “Employer.” New Zealand’s increase is higher for the period than that of Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
In March this year, the average weekly wage in New Zealand was $63.93, the magazine said. This included overtime payments, bonuses and allowances.
